POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This position is primarily involved in all accounting aspects related to Healthpeak’s portfolio of properties. Responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting of day-to-day operations of respective properties, managing and executing the financial reporting, and tenant lease review for assigned properties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain and review accrual basis property general ledgers, balance sheets and income statements, including preparing and recording journal entries as required
Prepare monthly income and expense variance reports
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and examine all general ledger accounts for accuracy and make corrections as needed
Review the design fees account and complete monthly spreadsheet
Prepare CAM reconciliations
Work hand in hand with the property managers related any tenant balance, lease, or aged issues
Work closely with property managers to create and review annual budgets
Provide direction and guidance related to all pertinent accounting and financial reporting matters to property managers and their staff
Review and research property management billing transactions, including scheduled charges, aged delinquencies and adjustments
Daily use of MRI to review monthly rent-up, late fee report, CPI billing report, bad debt, tenant ledger, and aged delinquency monthly.
Review AP invoices for coding and proper documentation
Attendance is an essential function of the job
Backup other employees in the department as needed
Complete special projects as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
+3 years commercial real estate accounting experience
Great oral and written communication
MRI/Yardi experience preferred
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Experience reading and interpreting leases
Understanding of Operating Expense recoveries preferred
Detail oriented with advanced research skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must use good judgment, demonstrate initiative and take pride in accuracy
Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
